What is Ouzo is the question. It is a very nasty (IMHO) alcholic beverage.

Just wanted to clarify for everyone the amount of "foreign" players on Lewis' roster: Escalante--Puerto Rico Castellano--Puerto Rico Bird--Puerto Rico Barreto--Brazil Meyer--Mexico Martins--Brazil I realize that Bird has recently removed himself from the team so that cuts it down to only 5, but that leaves 33% of your team from a different country. Not to mention that 3 of those guys are "professionals", I mean starters.

I may be uninformed about VB, but all I am hearing from Mid West (non-Lewis) people is that Lewis is beating the cxxp out of them because they have some foreign players.
Go recruit your own foreign or Cali player so you can beat Lewis.
Don'e be a cry baby!

According to Sister Mary Agnes in 4th grade, Puerto Rico is part of the United States.

According to Henry Kissinger, Mexico is a part of the United States so that leaves only 1 foreign player on Lewis'es team.

if the ncaa is okay with people recruiting students from overseas, then why are the fans complaining? it's legal. just because ucla or pepperdine doesn't do it, doesn't mean it's wrong. i agree with vbdumb on that.
it happens in other sports too; off the top of my head, how about sebastian janikowski in football?
and puerto rico IS a part of the united states.

I've always wondered if those teams without those foreign players always beat the teams with the foreign players, still be complaining about it still?

Pepperdine has had players from Germany recently and right now has an international player from Canada. I don't think the problem is about the players coming from out of the country ,but whether their eligibility can be proven and it is harder to get information from some foreign countries. Some players from foreign countries have to serve in their army before they can go to school and that is why some of the older players are from foreign countries.

So Meyer's eligibility was scrutinized and he sat out enough games already as NCAA ruled on it and Lewis paid for the problem last year with mandatory game forfeits.
