March 20th 2006 Brian Waite Named MPSF Player of the Week
WOODLAND, Calif. - Senior middle blocker Brian Waite, who led the sixth-ranked Matadors to road wins over No. 7 UC Santa Barbara and UC San Diego last week, was named MPSF Player of the Week by the conference office on Mar. 20.
Waite led Northridge with 17 kills while hitting .682 in the four-game win over UCSB and also had 17 kills while hitting .762 in the three-game sweep of UC San Diego.
For the week, he had 34 kills and just three errors in 43 swings for a .721 hitting clip. He also added 11 total blocks, with one solo in the two matches for a 1.57 blocks per game average.
Waite becomes the second Matador to earn conference Player of the Week honors this month after Eric Vance earned the honor on Mar. 6.
Cal State Northridge wraps up its five-match road trip this Friday, Mar. 24 at No. 5 Long Beach State at 7:30 p.m.

yeah those are pretty ridiculous numbers. Although they weren't against the best teams, it was quite a weekend for Waite.

Hope Brian and Travis can continue to hook up. It was a struggle early on but they seam to have made the adjustments. Ridge is playing well and should be ready for a good match with the beach.

Waite and Bluemling have been connecting better. If CSUN wants to go far into playoffs, they are going to have to keep this up.
When these two are on, they are hard to stop.
