How could you be impressed with Carroll He hit .000 Pepperdine only hit .171 as a team , can't win that way . I hope it is a wake up call to the whole team . or is this the way of things to come . Come on boys !!! HEY CYBER , when you're right you're right !! What can I say Wquote author=bigfan board=menvb thread=1143246252 post=1143317078]Best I have seen USC play this year. It has been a long time since they played so well TOGETHER AS A TEAM. Also was impressed again with Carrol, the freshman from Pepperdine. USC should look at Australia and see if there are anymore players of his caliber looking for schools in the states. Pepperdine stopped fighting mid way through game two.[/quote]

Grangeiro, Shellenberg & Figueroa (the OHs) must have been busting out of the humongous Pepp blocks! That's a big win that's for sure. Not to take anything way from SC, but it's hard for me to see a Dunphy coached team be swept that badly. Did Pepp not want to battle? Were they thinking about Spring Break?
The Pepperdine team I saw this season is a big & competitive bunch so kudos to SC on the victory!

Why did SC win so easily? Did they change anything substantially?

I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO TELL YOU PEOPLE, that USC should be ranked higher. I have been trying to tell you that having Ohio State, and Penn State, WHO THEY ALREADY TROUNCED, ranked higher than USC was a JOKE, but nobody listens to me. The MIVA and EIVA coaches on the poll will still find a way to justify ranking their weak little teams higher than SC, but it is just a total JOKE! USC's 2nd string, can beat Ohio State and Loyola, Chicago, and they already waxed Penn State. Maybe now they will get a little more respect.

They were setting up and hitting before alot of the blocks could get there. Credit Killian for the set-ups.Pepperdine did not want to battle, I felt they were bored with the proceedings.

Hello Biggie , I totally agree he has that potential . Remember though , he will have Cala to contend with for that honor in their senior year . All I was saying was he looks good and strong but he did not help his team out any hitting 0 % the other night against USC . I hope UCI continues winning too , so the MPSF playoffs can stay in the southland . UCI has the easier schedule than Hawaii and BYU because they still have to face each other , and as for 4th place Pepperdine only has to winn the reat of their games also . ( IT COULD HAPPEN )

I'm just wondering why when USC beats a MIVA or EIVA team they bad mouth the MIVA/EIVA. Then they sweep Pepperdine and it's all "great goin" USC. They even are playing in the same time zones with minimal travel. What's that all about?

NOTHING NEEDS TO BE SAID !!! USC kicked Pepperdines butt and everyone in the MPSF knows it ! Pepperdine has another shot at USC soon , we'll see what's up then . Let them lose now , figure out what the problem is ,adjust ,then kick butt in the playoffs . I'm just wondering why when USC beats a MIVA or EIVA team they bad mouth the MIVA/EIVA. I'll tell you why "vballfantoo". Because most of the time when USC beats an MIVA or an EIVA team, it is a team that they were ranked BELOW in the polls, and so then when they go out and beat them, and PROVE that no matter what their record is, and no matter what the ridiculous poll says, they are better............THAT'S when the frustration comes out and people start making comments on the board. When they beat a team that was CLEARLY thought to be better then them, as was Pepperdine, then everyone is very complimentary. Thats my take on it!
