Any word on who they are looking at for the position? Time line? With Jonah leaving UCSC would he look here? I hear that France (Rutgers), Andy Cole (OSU Alum) and another college Player may have applied for that position.

Ridolfi was most recently the men's coach at Harvard and women's coach at Holy Cross. To the best of my knowledge he had stepped down from those positions for a job with less travel time so that he could spend more time with his wife and young kid(s).

Most jobs of that caliber (read:DIII where administration are not stoked on athletics) are on a year to year basis. They have a hard time getting top notch coaches with the salary that they offer. Good for a local person, but if they want any type of results, they should make it full time with bennies if they want to be better... The results they have gotten the last few years have been the direct result of their coach putting in many hours

ahhh....I have to wonder if the D3 Championship issue is what made this an issue fo rhim and the idea of playing "lesser" talent coming to his program make him move this year?

Is it just me or has this been a big summer for coaches leaving programs unexpectedly. With all the rumors, it will be pretty interesting who ends up where.
Anyone else think the new NCAA job listing format is one of the stupidest changes ever?

PRICE NAMED GCU VOLLEYBALL COACH gculopes.com/news/2010/7/14/MVB_0714101825.aspxGrand Canyon University has selected Jeremy Price to be the school’s second men’s volleyball coach. Price replaces Chad Speer, who guided the program during its first two seasons. The new coach comes from Juniata of the Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association, where it competed against national-power Penn State, as well as, George Mason, Princeton, Harvard and St. Francis, among others. In 2009, Price was selected the American Volleyball Coaches Association Division III Coach of the Year and the EIVA Coach of the Year. He led Juniata to two Molten Division III National Championships in 2007 and 2009. He began coaching at Juniata in 2006 and led the school to its highest EIVA finish ever in 2009, trailing only Penn State. Prior to Juniata, he coached form 2000-2005 at the United States Naval Academy. “I’m excited to come to a program as young as Grand Canyon,” said Price. “It’s a tremendous opportunity to create something, though not quite from scratch, but on the ground floor. “The University has shown a commitment financially and with facilities to put together an elite program. I look forward to working with the current roster and newcomers for my first year and third edition of Grand Canyon’s men’s volleyball.” Price has coached 11 AVCA All-Americans, eight EIVA All-East players and 19 EIVA Division III All-Stars. “I’m very excited about Jeremy Price coming to Grand Canyon University as our men’s head volleyball coach,” said GCU athletic director Keith Baker. “I’m grateful for the developmental leadership provided by Chad Speer over the last couple of years and at the same time, eager to see the continued development that Jeremy will bring. He’s a solid volleyball coach who is a quality mentor and is a great fit for GCU as we continue to build outstanding programs.” gculopes.com/news/2010/7/14/MVB_0714101825.aspx
