Jonah Carson has moved on to the women's side at Miami of Ohio as one of the assistants. He did an amazing job at UCSC with the limited resources and no DIII opponents within 1000 miles to keep the program going at an elite DIII level.
However, the roughly 8K for a DIII head coach vs a "real" wage for a women's assistant gig....

Jonah is going to be a great addition to UofM. You are right netv, he did a lot with just a little. Hopefully, someday the administration and AD will get a clue to realize that they have a goldmine up there, and treat athletics much better than they have...

These will be filled most likely by West Coast assistants either current or former. Just wait for announcements as the Camp season are in their final weeks

He had been building that team for years. He worked at one school and coached at another. The toll was too much so the decision seemed easy enough. The $$$ is just not enough for some people and I am sure that the job will be filled soon enough.

Emmanuel College, a DIII school in Bos†on, MA will be looking for a new Head Men's Volleyball Coach. Posting will be available shortly. Where did the Coach go? He had been building that team for years. The school had no intentions of making the position full-time. Coach Wright was there for five years, and did build the program up pretty well. He ended up with a ton of accolades this year (NECVA Coach of the Year being one of them). He also works for another local college full-time, and the workload there got to be too much to maintain a solid program (he's a mid/upper level administrator). He didn't leave the program in a bad place though. The new coach will have 15 returning next season with a couple of newcomers, including a couple of guys who should be in the running for all-american. They only graduated two players from last year's squad, and I see them surprising a ton of teams next season. They are also one of the only programs that's able to pull kids from the west coast (six from California and one from Arizona). Coach Wright's emphasis has always been recruiting the right players to fit into his program, and he's done a good job.
