Long Beach State won it's sixth match in a row at the Pyramid tonight beating Penn State 3-0. In a match watched by Doug Beal, Long Beach State played very well, hitting over .400. In the first match of the evening Ball State defeated USC!

Congrats Long Beach...hmmmmmm Doug Beal at your match. He might be checking out your freshman for the future. I still say that Beach will be a top contender NEXT year.  |

Scott Touzinsky definitely has national-team potential. My guess is that Touzinsky must have been one of the players Doug Beal came to scout.
LBSU is a much better team now than it was just two months ago. Almost all remaining matches for the Beach are big tests. Two of the more notable tests will be at Pepp and BYU.
