Good for them! I enjoy CBU. Their coach is a good guy. I mean two years ago he left the tourney to go see his child born and they still one. Good Stuff.

From what I have heard aside from being a great person, he was a great player too. I believe he may have played at Cal Baptist as well. I wonder how he finds all his foreign players? Maybe they find him?

2nd seed California Baptist leads top-seed Lindenwood 30-28, 30-26 after two games... Why was Cal Baptist the #2 seed? I didn't see Lindenwood beating Div 1 teams this year.... Hell, to be honest, I've never even heard of Lindenwood

Cal Baptist lost to Lindenwood earlier in the year in a tournament. Probably a fluke, although I would have been curious to see Lindenwood.

Hell, to be honest, I've never even heard of Lindenwood They are always 1 of the top 3-5 NAIA teams every year. A couple of Florida/AVP beach players played there recently. Mike Dipero Steve Van Zweiten (SP)

Cal Baptist has put together a nice program there. It can only help Volleyball.

Tell you what, Steve's brother Mark (a freshman at of of the florida colleges) could easily be the starting libero on any college team. I have watched him play for years and i swear i have never seen him mess up on serve receive, no matter whos serving (from all the teams he played in club to Mike Iandolo's hard jumpserves in last years FHSAA state semifinal).
He just wanted to play beach though, so he's just going to a small college and training. Look for him soon on the AVP. I believe he's partners with Joey Dykstra from SCVC currently.

CBU is a great team with some older players on it. Their entire team is designed around their stars from Ghana. They look soo old, I thought they were coaches.
They put up a good fight against Loyola, but did not have what it took to beat them.
Does anyone think these guys from Ghana had played proball before coming to CBU?

Ruled aren't the same for NAIA. So even if they have made money playing, not sure that it matters.

They guys from CBU looked like they had played pro somewhere. They also seemed to be much older than the average college student.
