I think that UCI is playing too well right now. LBSU could give them a run, but I just don't think though at this point.

UCI is playing such a complete game right now!
Any other votes are just people jocking their school.

UCI is playing such a complete game right now! Any other votes are just people jocking their school. The same could've been said about Hawaii. If this were a best 2 out of 3 MATCHES, I would definitely say UCI. But ONE match .... anything can happen and there is too much talent on all of these teams for them to be dismissed. FWIW, I still picked UCI ..because they deserve it. (and if you're a UH fan, you have to want UCI!!)

LBSU could give them a run, but I just don't think though at this point. mikesmith, I agree with you, but one concern I do have is the fact that Irvine hasn't played competitively for the last week and a half. When they came back from Spring break they started off a little cold. They're definitely well rested that's for sure!

rob, are you on the mic tonight for both matches? Yes, sir I will be. I thought I was going to be asked to take a back seat like in 1991, but I think a ton a people were lobbying for me-- for which I am totally thankful for. Can't wait to see some great ball tonight!

rob, I was at the last LBSU-UCI clash. Everything everyone has said here is 100% correct--you ROCK the house, man. Animated, colorful...on top of every play and substitution (master of even the opposing roster!). Just let if flow tonight, bro!

I agree with fingrbustr, keep it up Rob, see you at the Bren!
FYI, fearless prediction UCLA over PEP in 5 game gem, UCI over LBSU in 4, nevertheless a great match as well. The Bren will blow its top off tonight. Two great matches in store!

I second fingrbustr's comments. The PA announcer at UCI definitely adds to enjoyment of the game. He often explains officials rulings that those of us in the stands are not close enough to hear. I wish announcers at other venues understood the game as well.
