UCLA only gets into the final four if it wins the MPSF.

Wouldn't it have been ironic had they rewritten the at large rules this year due to the uproar over UCLA going over LBSU last year? Because it they had UCLA would have gotten to go again ( assuming they don't beat UCI/LBSU).

It basically rewards a team for a good season - the entire season, not just the last few weeks of the season. UCLA is not a candidate this year for the at-large bid, and they know it. They must win this Saturday to go to the Championship.

They started out ranked #1 preseason, but after an up and down year they didn't prove worthy of the at-large like UCI and UH have. However, they have gotten hot again at the right time of the year. This says a lot for their coaching staff. Hopefully they play their way into the FF and leave the at-large to UCI or UH.

Well... i'm here in Hawaii, been a UH fan for a long time.... and as much as I hate to say it, I'm definitely going for UCLA. Look at the coaching! Look at the perserverance! Look at the preparation! It all goes to UCLA. The Bruins know when it's crunch time and know what matches matter.... so what if Hawaii has a stunning record, they fell apart at the wrong time.

Now it doesn't matter. UCI lost, they will get the FF at large bid.
