I KNOW YOU THINK I'M NUTS, BUT I GOTTA GO WITH MY SCARLET KNIGHTS. THIS WILL BE THE BIGGEST UPSET OF THE YEAR. LET ME EXPLAIN.
I'M ONE OF THOSE FORTUNATE PARENTS WHOSE KIDS ARE ON FULL VOLLEYBALL SCHOLARSHIPS. MY BABY GIRL PLAYED THE PAST FOUR YEARS FOR THE SCARLET KNIGHTS. SHE HAD A NICE VB CAREER - ALL BIG EAST SETTER, BIG EAST ROOKIE OF THE WEEK, AND RUNNER UP IN THE BIG EAST CHAMPIONSHIP. MORE IMPORTANTLY SHE RECEIVES HER DEGREE THIS MAY, FROM A VERY GOOD UNIVERSITY.
THUS, I'VE GOT TO SHOW MY 'BLIND LOYALTY' TO THE SCARLET KNIGHTS. RU, RU, RU, RAH.......GO SCARLET KNIGHTS. AS WE SAY IN JERSEY, "HOW YA DOIN - BOOKUMDANOALOHA".

Just as an FYI for clarification, the Rutgers team that competes in Division I men's volleyball is Rutgers-Newark, or the Scarlet Raiders. Rutgers-Newark competes at the Division III level in women's volleyball. The Rutgers that competes in the Big East for women's volleyball is The State University of Rutgers, Rutgers-New Brunswick or just plain Rutgers.

Hey Bookum, I was afraid this day might come...apparently you fell asleep under a coconut palm tree and some coconuts found their target...your head. You are actually picking Rutgers-Newark to beat Pepperdine? This is a clear case of "blind loyalty." Nice to hear about your youngest daughter's accomplishments there, BUT it has nothing to do with the "spanking" that Rutgers will receive by my "quiet assassins." Upset of the year? It would be...BUT I DON'T THINK SO. You better not sleep under those palm trees again. Even I chose against my teams occasionally...never blind loyalty. But in any case, what do you want to bet on the match outcome? Your San Diego home? Later & Aloha, Dude.

Hey VBCrusin.
It's just "Blind Loyalty", whether its in Newark or New Brunswick .... It's still Rutgers. All I know is that scholarship saved me alot of "moola". I'll bet if you spot me some points per game. Seven points per game. I'll bet you a Hawaiian "loco moco" dinner. Rice, hamburger steak, fried eggs, onions, covered in thick brown gravy. Also, with a double side order of macaroni salad. I personally call it "cardiac arrest". Bookumdanoaloha.

Hey Bookum, Hawaiian "Loco Moco" dinner...I don't think so, BUT if you ever have a luau, I'm there. Seven points a game? It's a safe bet, but keep your dinners to yourself. I like Quiche.
