I wonder if any team has played in the finals before (assuming UCLA wins the semi final) with their highest individual honor being one single player an honorable mention all- MPSF (Klosterman) and zero all americans (not that they deserve any).

The myth of Ca is no longer. HUH? The myth of California? Sorry to dissappoint, but the fact is that California has had an overwhelming influence on the volleyball landscape for decades. 9 of the 20 are from Cali...with 2 from Canada - 1 from Finland. I guess Californina has the majority of AA from the States. Although props to all the AA (where ever they are from)!!

No love for Macias "2nd team" he should have been 1st team! He put up the numbers to be first team and his team is in the semi-finals.

I like the list... I thought that Steve Klosterman should have received 2nd team.
Also, with all of the games that I watched at CSUN this year, it was nice to see Brian Waite on the list again.
I didn't realize that he was a three time 2nd team AA.

Trust me.....UCLA going into the Finals without ANY All Americans just adds fuel to the fire for them. That will just be one more motivational reason for them to win it all.

I don't like Grunst or Koz on the 1st team. I agree that UCLA should've got some love...I would put Scheftic and Klosterman on the 2nd team. I agree w/ the Troll above...UCLA is going to be amped up for the semis, yikes. I don't think anybody in the nation can match up w/ Scheftic's attack in the middle...look out below!

Alfred Reft Got Burned, He Should of been 1st Team. He had a match with over 20 digs.. If Hawaii was in the finals, I would think Reft would of been 1st Team..
To bad about Evan Patak not makin MPSF

Really surprised that Reft didn't get first team AA. I kind of thought Asuka would get first team, but I was hoping the committee would recognize that both Reft and Asuka were so important to their team that both would be first team AAs. Other than that, can't really complain about the list. BYU is a bit under-represented, but overall, can't complain about the list.
UCI will be scary next year. A team returning 4 AAs hasn't happened in a long time.
