Now, who voted for UH being #1 other than Marv? Could it be Al ?

Pepperdine-Long Beach could be huge. If the Beach sweep the Waves, what happens? Normally you would think it drops Pepperdine below UH, but they will still have only have 4 losses (tied for 1st place?) to UH's 5. What about if they split, do they still stay atop the standings, or can the Beach leapfrog up there? It will be interesting. I hope Pepperdine doesn't sweep, because I would really like to see what the pollsters do.

Tonight's game with Pepp and LBSU is very important for both of them. If LBSU wins, that will do wonders for their confidence and they will have a legitimate shot at the MPSF title.

Sorry kids, but Pepperdine will have no problem with LBSU.
Pepp in 3.
I'm out.

Long Beach has done real good. From butt ugly average (losing to UCSD, what a disgrace!) last year to #4 this week.

We interviewed Scott Touzinsky for an article last Fall and you should've heard his voice when he was describing his training/diet regimen and his refreshing new attitude toward the game. Just to hear his vibrant energy and that "Gosh, I'm so happy to be here" attitude were very infectious. After the interview, I went for a 10-mile run! I'm not surprised Long Beach is doing well.

Long Beach almost beat Pepp in January, don't forget. It won't be easy, but it is doable. I would like our odds better if they were playing in the Pyramid, of course.
