I have filled up my hard drive (200 GB) where I post pictures, and need to come up with a new scheme.
I heard that when you download pictures from some places, you get a reduced quality back.
So, what are the best places out there?
Flickr? Picasa?
- Cost is not an issue. - Accessibility is important - ease of uploading/downloading is important

mm..Some questions..
1. Do you want additional storage or just back up? 2. Do you wish to share with family ..friends or the world? 3.Do you have capability to just copy the pics on a disk..and then erase?
.I am not teck savy ..so my choice was Flickr. pretty easy.. If you use the free plan those same huge quality pics may not be seen with same resolution..just buy the pro version..
Just read online reviews and match Photo storage plans to your desired needs.
I cant do pics here ..but Flickr has an easy program that lets me move pics there with ease.
My family and friends know my address there and can keep up to date with any current photo trips.

With the request as written, I agree with the answer of just getting a new hard drive.
However, if your pictures are really important to you, you might consider the issue of backups. If your hard drive fails, you might lose them all. One simple way to do this is called "RAID 1," where you actually get two new hard drives and write the same data onto both of them. If one crashes, then you still have the other one. There are also other ways to do this.

I like Picasa, you get 1GB of storage, any photo resolution you want, privacy settings, and some cool online editing tools.

An asteroid would suck. But, that's why I like Google... they'd fund a team of specialists to put servers on the asteroid and use it as a server farm in orbit around earth. Picasa is what I use after trying lots of options. Flickr is a close second, but loses to Google being the more reliable company. With Picasa, you get 1GB from a free account and extra storage ranges based on how much you need. My mom has 100GB for $50 or a year, I pay for 25GB and its just about right. I have a droid and can get all my pictures online through my phone as well as any computer I log into. The software is free and its easy to upload the photos... and share. Flickr probably has an edge on sharing photos, however, they kind of over-share in my experience. Now, if you're talking about hi-def video.... that's another subject. Hope this helps... oh, and VBCoach... you'll never, never get close to my count.

The OP apparently has more than 200GB of pictures to store. I still suspect just buying a hard drive or two will be the cheapest and easiest way to do this.

I agree with the external HD route. Very large drives now are cheap and it makes sure that you are the one who controls what happens and who sees the pictures.
