Does anyone know if Curt Toppel from Stanford is eligible for AA this year? He seems to have missed a lot of matches, and it would be ashame if he misses out on a four time AA honor due to an injury. Does anyone know how many matches he has missed and how many matches will prevent him from being eligible?

He needs to have played in 66.7 percent of Stanford's games (not matches) to be eligible. He currently has played in 42 of 82 games for 51.2 percent. With seven matches remaining, it is still possible to be eligible, but it will probably take playing in all matches and Stanford being extended past three games in several of the matches.

i actually don't think it's mathematically possible for toppel to play in 66.7% of his team's games.
if stanford has 3-game matches for the rest of their season, they will have played 103 games. if toppel plays in EVERY of the remaining games, he will have played in 63 games. that is not enough. 63 of 103 is 61.1%
if stanford has 5-game matches for the rest of their season, they will have played in 117 games. again, if toppel plays in every remaining game, he will have played in 77 games, which is 65.8% (so close!)
this may not be obvious, but the percentage of games he plays goes up (if he plays every remaining game), as stanford plays more games. the highest percentage he can get is 65.8%. so there is NO possible way toppel will make enough games to make AA (which is such a SHAME!).
unless, they count postseason. anyone know?
