I heard coach Hambly talking about how he would like to have more scoring from postions 1 this season. Who fills this spot? IMO its gotta be Kipp. How does this change the slide with the mids? If there is no scoring from pos 1 the mids like campbell and others will have a hard time scoring. WOuld be cool if this happens, I just hope they stick to this plan even when things are ugly

Thanks for sharing.
Lutz improved so much after playing pro in Korea. She should try out for the Olympic team as an Opp or OH.

I am a huge McClure fan. I was one of the people who consistently said she would start over Kipp because she brings the all around game that Stanford needed. I have zero doubt that she will start her senior year.
That being said, there is no way she is a second team AA. She is a nice solid attacker but just doesn't put up AA numbers. The fact that people would argue that there aren't 10 better OHs just doesn't fit the facts IMO.
Just to be clear, not name calling to anyone. Just my view.

I think my argument wasn't about AA status. But more so her all around game. There aren't that many out there that have a more solid all around game. Sure there are better attackers, blockers, servers.. But when you consider every aspect of the position, there aren't that many above her. |

The only shots I remembered from that match were those in the 5th set when McClure couldn't clear the Florida's blocks. That was all I remembered... But I watched the 2019 matches vs. PSU, Minnesota, and Wisconsin many times. |
