Was Stanford interested in recruiting her? It seems if Stanford were interested in recruiting her they have probably been communicating with her since June 15th? The road to Stanford is (understandably) incredibly difficult - a PSA can't just have the athletic talent, skills and size to be a targeted recruit. They also have to have a near perfect if not perfect GPA with multiple AP's etc. and excellent test scores - and Stanford has to have a scholarship to give in a particular position. As people have seen even as recently as Sami Francis and Kami Miner the PSA can't declare (aka announce on social media) that she has been offered a scholarship until the admissions office approves the application, well into the PSA Junior Year (sometimes summer before Senior Year). As we get further into the '22 Junior Year, it will become clear who Stanford is interested in as the rest of the elite players commit to great schools, and select PSA(s) remain uncommitted. I find the recent reporting of Stanford "misses" (recruits committing elsewhere) here to be a head scratcher, kind of. Who should care if any PSA commits to some other institution? As the poster I quoted eloquently said...and we all know the 'escargot-race' SU Admissions can be, usually...it takes a unique SA to navigate such a deal! I think Hambly's incoming 2020 class (Tufuga, L. Smith, A. Smith, Oglivie, Lougeay), his 2021's (Francis, Miner) and some projected '22's leaning toward Stanford show that the man can recruit, even without Nesi, for the forthcoming future. I'd hate to think that some of these posts are hinting that Denise Corlett would have "snagged" them and/or "never let them get away". She, Don and John all had their share of "misses". Kevin/whoever will have some too. It's been so far, so good!

Most of everything we hear is just that, hearsay.

So who are the '22s that are projected "leaning towards" Stanford? A refresher for who we are interested in?

And a random question: How does a VT member (like myself) go from "Fab 50" ,or whatever I was, back down to "Freshman"? I haven't been too active lately. Is that it? Not concerned or butt hurt. Just curious.

Highly ranked, top recruits who haven't committed yet. May be a little more difficult to predict this year, because the PSA's can't go on meaningful official visits b/c of COVID-19, which may explain some delay in committing. Others on this forum have calculated the # of scholarships available for the class of 2022. I believe it may only be 1 or 2?

2 openings for 2022. Replacing Campbell and Fidelak Olson Rubin? Unless they play a 5th year, right?

Anything new on Ella Rubin? I gather she's kind of a classic 6-rotation player, left side.

Anything new on Ella Rubin? I gather she's kind of a classic 6-rotation player, left side. I've heard she plays a lot like McClure, but I haven't seen any video. Obviously, at the prep level, playing like McClure is a high standard to live up to.
