Hey vball kid... Predictions between Pep vs BYU? We'll find out April 11 & 12...every year this particular match is hard for me, because I am loyal to both teams. I wish they'd call it a draw. But hey...either way, I get to cheer for the winning team. Incidentally, I'll be wearing my BYU hat, Malibu/California shirt, and my Pepperdine t-shirt for both matches. I'll make my predictions that week and not before. Later, Dude.

That massive noise you will hear on the freeways will be all of the Mormons in S. Cal heading for Malibu. That massive noise t hat you will hear inside the Fieldhouse will be their moans as they drop back to back matches!!!!!

Hey VBCrusin
I'm impressed. The Waves did cover the 8 point spread per game against Rutgers Red Raiders/Scarlet Knights. I wonder what the Viva Las Vegas Spread will be when the Waves play the Warriors. I guess we could call that match: WWIII (Wave vs. Warriors - Third Game). BYU game should be interesting. However, the Cougars will have to play at Sea Level. Gorney will be a Big Lost for the Cougars. Another classic match, Big Block vs. Big Serve. Bookumdanoaloha.

Hey Bookum, Rutgers wasn't tough to call (even with the 8 point spread)...WWWIII? I like that. ;D I'll borrow that one if you don't mind. As far as BYU having difficulty playing at sea level, that is an advantage. It's always tougher playing at higher altitudes...the loss of Chris Gorney was big, however, BYU has managed quite nicely without him. To Anonymous Beachman... so you're choosing Pep to sweep BYU? How come you haven't joined us in our weekly contests? Have some fun and give us your predictions...winners and how many games won or lost.

Figure I'd ask this question for Bookum here on this folder since I didn't want to start a new one.
Just wondering, Bookum, is there a reason why Kimo doesn't use his jump serve anymore? I remember when he sprained (I *think* it was a sprain) his hand and he started to use a jump serve, which was IMO quite good. Will he ever bring it back you think? I am hoping he will.

vbcrusin, You're a typical LA fan.
If the Dodgers are winning you're a Dodger fan, if the Angels win you're an Angels fan.
Pick a team Pepp or BYU.
I know the story about your sons.

Hey Chin Ho...me, a typical LA fan? Not. I've never been a Dodger Fan...Angels all the way ever since they landed in Anahiem. As far as choosing between BYU and Pepperdine as my main team...I'd have to say I'm a Pepperdine backer. Not because they are winning, but I enjoy and know all of the guys who played with my son. Win or lose, they are my team for the next two years (after Rooney graduates). After which, I'll start rooting for my old alma mater, BYU, as my main team again. Incidentally, in the past 5 years, even when BYU won two National Championships, my main team was still Pepperdine (loyal to my son). However, if you follow my travels, I've been at non-Pep games rooting for UCI, Long Beach, and Hawaii. Am I fickle? No. Just a fan of excellent volleyball. Later Dude.
