That pretty much limits it to Sullivan.

That pretty much limits it to Sullivan. So you're saying Leisa Rosen ISN'T in the running at Minnesota?

She'd be the only other Legends coach who'd be qualified, I think. And that's not going to happen.

Do they really make people apply? I doubt it. Well, the coach is technically a State employee, so I'm sure the candidates, at least the one who gets the hob, have to apply at some point. But, whether the top candidates have to actually send in an application beforehand is debatable. I'd guess not. They probably interview candidates and whomever they pick will have to, as part of job paperwork, fill out the official application. Until then, I'd guess the targeted candidates send in their resumes, etc.

cj a will continue to work her magic in Ames. Geoff in the running and perhaps a Mountain West coach as well. Nelson is from that area right? That would be a dark horse, but I could see it

What I do know: The longer the athletes don't know who will be coaching them, the more eager they will be to look other places. Even if they won't be released until a new coach comes in, they'll still have already made up their mind that they want out.
I hope it doesn't get to that point, but it's already been quite a while in the mind of an anxious athlete.

I know the admin feels they have time since spring practice doesn't start for a few weeks. But the longer the time goes, the more rumors there are and the more nervous the athletes get. Then they start reaching out to friends at other programs. Plus, it plays havoc on me! Hopefully, an announcement is made soon but I think it will be another couple of weeks.

Recruiting is the ticket to success.
Minny is not USC or Hawaii with a built in recruiting sun climate.
We will need a proven track record to recruit like Mike was able to.
A CHEAP coach from a lesser program and we get slaughtered.
The Gopher program is BIG time and should be respected as so. I am sure we could hire so and so from some junior college in Missouri or Nebraska and the suffer the results.
I am afraid that will be the track they take.
be afraid.
