I'm still thinking Brady Starkey.
I said it early on, and then the guy from UST will move the few blocks over.
KK can be an AC.

Spoiler alert.... Scott Swanson next head coach at UM. Go Gophers! Nothing personal, but if this is reality, then it was a "comprimise" pick, not first or second choice.

This is true, but I don't recall the assistant positions being opened at Ohio State. I could be wrong, but I'm almost certain that the three came together. I wonder if the DOVO spot will be kept as well? If they post for two assistants, wouldn't they also post for that job or does Nao retain that position (which would be fantastic)? Per U of MN employment, Nao has a job for at least another year since she has been with the U for over 10 years. Does that mean she would be the DOVO? That is dependent upon the new coach. The AC coach contracts expire on 03/15/11. Given that no new coach has been hired/announced, I would think it difficult for someone to apply for the AC position not knowing who the HC is.

Starky has never expressed any interest in this job. He has a good thing going at Concordia where he will continue to win national championships. He also can maintain good time with his family which he would lose going to Minnesota.

Needless to say (but I will); this has been the best kept secret since ___________________ (you fill in the blank)

Kim Kardashian would be a great AC... the team would look great (in all their designer gear) and the media coverage would be out of this WORLD!

Needless to say (but I will); this has been the best kept secret since ___________________ (you fill in the blank) since Larry Bock to the Naval Academy... this is a year of surprises. I am sure it will continue to be, as there hasn't been a real leading candidate mentioned for MN yet. or at least not one anyone can agree on....

And obviously I'm not in the inner circle of vb coaches here, but I would think that this would be the chance of a lifetime for him. An opportunity of this magnitude in his own back yard likely won't ever happen again. Not to mention his club gig, which I'm sure has been very rewarding in a lot of ways. I've not seen anyone enjoy what he's doing more than when I see him on the court or sidelines.

Heck of a lot more money in DI, however. That has to make it tempting.
