Sure I can compare the two. There has been only one data point in memory and that is the only data point we CAN compare. Any other theory is just a theory. After 2012, we will then have two data points. You're right, you can compare. I should have said that you can't draw any conclusions from that comparison. A single instance does not a trend make. Just like you can't draw conclusions based on no data points, but that is what VT is all about. So one data point conjecture is as good as no data point conjecture.

If you'll re-read my post - I didn't draw any conclusions. Actually, just the opposite. With their decision comes a fair amount of uncertainty - that you wouldn't normally have to deal with. That was the point.

McCutcheon will be an outstanding college coach. I predict a NCAA championship for him in the next 5 years or so. I'd be terribly jealous if I weren't an Illinois fan, and wasn't so happy with Coach Hambly. He's doing very well on the recruiting trail, getting verbals from a player as far as 2013. I think he's got the recruiting mojo that he should hold some scholarships out to the end, when some of the top recruits wait to sign. Sorry, to get off topic abit, but I had to give my props to Coach Hamblyl.

Should we expect the assistants to be announced anytime soon?

Looks like Hugh is going to take the week as he weighs all the options to staying or leaving national team. Until that decision is made, I doubt there will be anything official about assistants.
IMO, I think Hugh stays with national team. If he truly wanted, or was willing, to leave before London, I think he would have done it already.

Baa?
sorry.
The Mn AD is happy to save money. Does anybody in their right mind think Laura got MIKE $$ ?
The SC point keeps getting played..SC at THAT TIME was one of the known centers of the VB universe. MN is NOT even close and we know it..
So follow along that golden trail the AD has laid out for you to follow. and forget the missed chances to get the best coaches..in state players and win championships in all the sports he runs.
Mike got the best in state players at the time to come here..and added a few from surrounding states..
WE were alway ( S )1 big gun away. edited for EXTREME ACCURACY.
and that just got even more difficult.

Could someone interpret this for me? Sure - "We should have hired Yeltsin." Goodness, now he wants a dead man who only coached volleyball at a beginning level? Does being a decent player and president of a country get you the Minnesota job now? ;D ;D ;D
