Can you imagine arriving at he Super Bowl only to be told that you seats were not safe and you had to go home? The consolation prize was a refund of 3 times the face value of the ticket. Something tells me that won't be the last we hear on that issue.

Actually I don't have to imagine something similar. Just last weekend the finals of the Asian Soccer Cup was marred by a similar problem. They were lucky the locked out fans were Aussies and Japanese. If they had been English and Greeks there would have been a riot! www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2011/02/03/3129386.htm?site=sport§ion=footballPeople with tickets say they arrived and found locked gates as much as an hour before the start of the game, contrary to what the article above says.

I think some of the people who bought from ticket brokers probably paid well over three times face value for their tickets. Most ticket brokers do guarantee that the tickets they sell will be valid. If they get burned, it's just a cost of doing business.

That 400 won the lottery... They got money back to not listen to all the horrific singers...

sevb, so true. Usher saved the day for a short time but then it was right back to the black eyed peas. At least Fergie doesn't hurt eyes like she hurts ears

Kind of hoping for a wardrobe malfunction with Fergie. Thought Christina Aguilera was going to do it in a desperate move to take people's minds off of her forgetting the lyrics.

She is always trying so hard to get your attention. If her public display of her body were a stereo amplifier, she'd have it permanently cranked up to 11. It's like when you travel abroad and there are those guys who walk beside you pushing a picture of their "girls" and offering you a Good Time. At first it's kind of titillating, but it quickly becomes irritating; shortly thereafter it becomes boring and you don't pay any more attention to it than you do the sound of all the taxi/moped horns honking everywhere.

I was kinda hoping Fergie would get caught pee'ing on stage again.
Their very first single "Where is the Love?" was a great song back in 2004. Then they decided to make a career out of rehashing great R&B/Funk singles from 20-30 years ago, and basically %*$#ting all over them. And today's dumbass kids eat that %*$# up.
They crossed the line when they sampled Rob Base and DJ Eazy Rock.
NOBODY SAMPLES THAT SONG!!!!! THAT SONG IS HIP-HOP/RAP UNTOUCHABLE STATUS!!!!!

Did anyone else see that these people are trying to sue the NFL now...Greedy people! The deal the NFL was going to give them was unbelievable! I know, with the NFL only able to get $6,000,000 per minute for commercials, those fans must understand the $2400 plus a ticket to the next super bowl will cause serious harm to the NFL finances; even if that offer didn't cover what the people paid for the ticket, must less travel and accommodations. Those greedy fans just have no heart. Poor NFL.

This is news because the fallout is so very avoidable but the smoothrunning NFL PR machinery had a hiccup. They knew all along that they weren't able to seat these people, but they waited until the very last moment to spring it on the ticketholders rather than accomodating them prior to kickoff. The way they handled it was really poor and I am guessing they will end up paying for it, if not in cash but in good will.

I am just saying that suing NFL when they are giving a deal that includes money and a ticket (they could sell) to next years game or and all expenses paid trip to a super bowl in the future seems greedy. They got to go on the field, got free merchandise and food at this Super Bowl. While I agree it was not in the ideal circumstances they will get 2 Super Bowls for the price of one.
