The ex, STILL unable to figure it all out, has gone back to BearClause's favorite, prescripted, store to try and make deliberate/pharmaceutical sense of it @ Longs. Just like those people who moved on that the Pac-8, PCC, etc have renamed themselves as the Pac-10/12, I have moved on with my life and recognize that change happens and Longs no longer exists as a name in my part of the woods. However - you never know what might happen. Another fond retail name of my youth (the Lucky supermarket chain) disappeared a few years ago when Albertsons (which had a retail presence in my area years ago) bought out their parent company. Then another company bought the rights to the name along with several store locations and reestablished the Lucky name. They didn't bring back names like the "Lady Lee" house brand, but I guess you can't have everything. I'm still reeling from Safeway dumping their "Scotch Buy" and "Townhouse" house brands.
