Hey
VB- Thanks for all the props! I know I had a terrible week last week, but I am hoping my week in and out knowledge of this great game will push me over the top in this contest.
To outside sourse.
I wasn't at the match...trust me if I had any way to get out of my plans this evening and make the match I would have. However, I am fairly certain that Gordon Mayforth made an appearance at the match, giving his former team an extra lift that they obviously used to win. For those who don't know, Mayforth started the Loyola program from the ground up and turned it into the top 15 program it still is today. He is currently a head coach in the Japanese Men's Pro League. So THAT is how I knew Loyola would win tonight!
Later

Hey Sweetie... It was a BIG oversight...my apologies to UCSD and LaVerne. It wasn't a slight to them, but I merely overlooked a MONDAY match (3/31). When I posted the April 1 - 5 contest, I didn't expect a Monday game. Sorry. I can always depend on Sweetie to keep me honest.

I thought I did pretty well this week predicting all but one match correctly, but it appears that Eater, VBCruisin, Drew, and mvbdad must have known that Toppel was back. I will leave it to VBCruisin to let us know who won based on game scores. Congrats to the four awesome prognosticators! I'm just hanging on to my hopes that UCLA will somehow win next Fri. & Sat.

Hey Volleymom... Check out the new thread of this week's winners. True...Eater, Drew and I finished first with 11 out of 11 matches, but please...mvbdad missed one match and finished 9th in the contest. Far from my elevated position from #2. You had a good week at 10 out of 11, and 4 out of 11 correct games played. Better luck next time. We'll have a special Tournament contest when we get the 8 team pairings.

Sorry VBCruisin,
I failed to see that mvbdad chose USC to win. I didn't even look down the column that far because I thought that one was obvious. I will leave the tallies to you from now on. Thank you for thinking of the idea.
It has been interesting to see everyone's predictions and comments. My husband and I are glad to have a fun diversion to lift our spirits during these difficult days for UCLA.

Hey Volleymom... Thanks for the compliment...The whole point of the T.V.P. was to have everyone analyze and appreciate ALL teams, which they have. I am surprised at the overall knowledge of these fans. ;D Any great team can be weakened by injuries, ineligibilities, etc. and UCLA certainly has had its FILL of bad luck. Personally speaking, I'm sorry not to see 2 fine players in Morrow and Mount...and it's always a treat to have the Bruins in a tournament ()especially when you beat them). They have been a threat over these years, and even though they had a BAD LUCK year, I'm sure they will be back next year with a vengence. Glad you and your husband enjoy the contest's competition...win or lose, it's FUN to hear from each fan and their views of the matchups.
