CSTV To Televise Live Three Men's Conference Finals
"Championship Saturday" to televise live for the first time all three major men's conference finals
4/2/2003 -COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – College Sports Television announced that it will broadcast the three premier men’s volleyball conference championship matches live on April 26, 2003, in what is being billed as “Championship Saturday.”<br>
The Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Tournament championship match will be shown at 6 p.m. ET. The Midwest Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Tournament title match is set for 8:15 p.m. ET. The Mountain Pacific Sports Federation championship match is slated for 10:30 p.m. ET.
The first television network devoted exclusively to college sports, College Sports Television will launch Monday, April 7, following the NCAA men’s basketball championship game with its “CSTV 2003 College Hoops Honor Roll,” the first and most comprehensive 2003 college basketball review show. The program will include the presentation of CSTV’s inaugural Player of the Year awards, reports from the men’s and women’s Final Fours, and other segments highlighting this past college basketball season.
College Sports Television will be available nationally to DirecTV’s more than 11 million customers on Channel 610. Dedicated to offering the widest variety of college athletics, CSTV will provide the most in-depth sports coverage of 1,200 universities and colleges across all of the major conferences at every level of college sports.
