Illinois is the clear class of the Big Ten.
The only other team that may even be remotely happy with their performance is the runner-up Indiana, and they ended the day taking a pounding from Illinois in the finals.
I'm still trying to figure out if IU - who spent most of the day joking about how they have been playing basketball instead of practicing - is good or if everyone else should just be ashamed of themselves. Usually I'd think joking about not practicing makes them sound like idiots, but they did go to the finals.
All in all, the best stories of the day came from the banquet, not the tournament.

Don't take anything away from Indiana, let's remember that it's more important to start to come together now than in the beginning of February. Maybe it took them a few tourneys, practices, whatever, to really figure out who should be where at what time. It's not like their opponents said, "You guys have been struggling a little this season, let's get you into the finals here." Indiana took the court, beat who they had to and made it to the finals...good job IU. I'll use this as inspiration for my squad this weekend.

The only thing I really noticed is that I thought Indiana was a bit low after their showing at the past tourney and USC being placed as a 4 below UCI was strange. I've seen both teams and I definitely think USC is better than UCI.

Oshkosh defeated Lakeland in the final of the Midwest 10 Championship on Saturday. They play again this week in Oshkosh.
In the semis, Lakeland beat Notre Dame in three and Oshkosh beat Northern Illinois.

I heard that USD tied for 7th in the tourney. Anyone know for sure? Also heard that UC Davis A was struggling a lot, especially when it came down to crunch time. First match of the tourney against USD they lost the first and third games, 24-26 and 26-28, after leading both games by at least 4 points when they reached game point. Arizona also lost their semi-finals match against UCF on a yellow card. Not sure exactly what happened, but I heard it involved one of the players cursing about the refs.

How did the Lakeland-Oshkosh match look? Was it close?
Also, what happened to MSU, Texas A+M, Maryland, UCLA, Colorado and the other teams that started at the top of their pools. It seems like alotta upsets in Vegas?

I guess UCDavis didn't have a real great tournament - second in their pool, and bumped out in the quarterfinals, I think. Arizona-UCF had another great battle. It might have been the Arizona coach that got the yellow card.
Maryland was second in their pool, as was MSU (who was ranked first in their pool).
