The Bruins won 30-27, 30-23, 30-25 in 86 minutes in front of 523 fans. The victory raised their record to 11-8 overall and 9-7 in league play. The Tritons fell to 5-12, 2-10. Seniors Steve Klosterman and Paul George combined for 28 kills and the Bruins hit .423. Klosterman pounded 18 kills (.500) and added five total blocks for 21 points. George added 10 kills (.533) and 11.5 points. Redshirt freshman Brett Perrine enjoyed a hot night, recording five kills (.455), an ace and seven total blocks for 10.0 points. Junior Tony Ker recorded 15 digs and setter Kevin Ker distributed 44 set assists. UCSD's Andy Northness recorded eight kills (.800) and two block assists for nine points to lead the Tritons. The Bruins continue their home stand next with a non-conference match against visiting Loyola-Chicago on Wed., Mar. 7.
