IPFW dominated the whole match, winning in three games straight. Ball State only had the lead by 2 points in the third game. Ptak came out on fire and played like the freak of nature he is! If he can keep up this kind of playing, he is definitly Athens bound! Santiago sets were on the money tonight which helped run the 3 power hitting offense with the 2 freshman middles contributing occasionally. Blocking was on and so was defense...the mentality that every ball was playible! Ball State struggled on defense and serving. Could not run the middle due to passing. Denmark was pulled out of the equation. The MIVA is going crazy this year! as predicted by some.

The MIVA is the same this year as every year - the big 4 (Lewis, Loyola, OSU and BSU) and the little 5 (everyone else). Since 1999, these schools have monopolized the top 4 places in the conference, with only IPFW's run in 1999 and 2000 breaking the monotony.
The final four in the MIVA will be the big 4, with maybe one sleeper sneaking in.

Time will tell.....

The biggest reason why IPFW won against BSU in three games is that they ran their turkish middle Serdar Sikca better than any match all season long. He also had 8 blocks including 3 solo stuffs against BSU's Denmark and totally shut him off!
Ptak was also on fire! He is obviously All-America material.
Any doubts?

No doubt Ptak has all-american talent. Not sure if he really had an all-american year though. Sikca really did play pretty well, at least blocking. Had a great block to end game 1.
