Loyola has lost control of their destiny in a heartbreaker. Game 1 and 4 went to Lewis. Lewis takes the 5th 20-18.
We had I believe 3 match points but couldn't convert. Good match overall but Ohio St. now sits alone in the driver's seat in the MIVA.

Flyers Score Momentous Win Over No. 12 Loyola Chicago Five Flyers set career highs
March 13, 2007
Box Score
CHICAGO, Ill. - A career-high 31 kills from Jared Dayton and career bests from several other Flyers helped Lewis knock off No. 12 Loyola Chicago in a thrilling five-set match Tuesday night in Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association action.
The Flyers (13-7, 5-4) defeated the Ramblers 30-24, 27-30, 27-30, 30-28, 20-18, claiming Lewis' first victory over ranked team since the Flyers beat then-ranked No. 15 IPFW on Jan. 27, 2006.
Dayton hit .444 (31-7-54) for the match, becoming the first Flyer to reach 30 kills since the 2003 season. He was one of five Flyers to reach double figures in kills.
Alex Vigansky also totaled a career high with 15 kills, hitting .414, and David Kelnhofer matched a season high with 16 kills, hitting .393. Billy Sahagian added a career-best 12 kills behind a .526 hitting effort, and he had a career best with three service aces. Drew Pickering had a double-double of 10 kills and 10 digs, and he served two aces.
Mykolai Zerebeckyj set a career best and Flyers' season high with 18 digs, registering the most digs by any Flyer since the 2003 season. Jordan Vidovic set a Lewis rally-scoring record with 73 assists, topping the old mark of 67 by Tom Mendoza in 2005.
Lewis took control early in game one and led by as many as six points (15-9.) Loyola would only get within two at 22-20 before a 5-2 Lewis run put the game out of reach.
With game two tied at 24, Loyola went on a 6-3 run to win its first game of the match.
Game three was tied at 13 points apiece until a 5-0 run gave Loyola control. The Ramblers never lost the lead again with the Flyers only coming within two points.
Lewis was ahead 18-17 in the middle of game four before a 5-1 run gave them the edge for good and its momentum carried over into game five where it fought off three Loyola match points before a service ace by Billy Sahagian and a kill from Dayton gave Lewis the 20-18 match-clinching win.
Lewis hit .377 (85-24-162), setting a season high in kills, while Loyola Chicago hit .344 (778-26-151) for the match. Lewis hit seven aces compared to three by the Ramblers. The Flyers also held a slight 9-7 advantage on the block.
The Flyers return to action on Friday night, hosting Clarke at 7 pm.
