I just had to laugh when I read that, it is so absurd. People will try to justify their beliefs with any BS they can generate. And of course there is the wizard's first rule: People will believe something told to them if they either want it to be true, or are afraid it might be true. That is why stuff like that continues to be used, it works.

I am not sure which one is funnier. The claim or your response! But thank you for both. I am still smiling.

"Somebody should tell the Saudis that in the US, premarital sex is more a function of parking in cars than driving in them.... "
This reminds me of a news story that that one of my Profs at UC Davis had on her wall.
A woman was cheating on her husband. She took her husband's sports car out with her lover and they "parked". Her lover threw his back out and the fire department had to cut the car apart to get him out. Imagine explaining that one to your spouse. Of course, technically that wasn't premarital sex, so it wouldn't fall under the Saudi ban.

Would be interested to know how women driving increases premarital sex as opposed to women riding in cars. Or are they banned from cars altogether?
And, is it important for women to be virgins when married, but no big deal for men?
God Bless The USA.

It's just a bunch of misogynists who correctly understand that if women can control any parts of their own lives they may (horrors!) come to feel like they should be able to control all parts of their own lives, rather than being male-controlled breed stock.

It must be true. Don't most Muslim drivers have premarital sex?
