[ I'll call it now: Barboza will both be there............. What a relief, what a revelation.......................what a bunch of @$$%*!*! Well, at the end of the day, he is probably right. Saying it as an absolute is another matter. They are most likely going to take 4 OH's, Glass seems to be off the radar right now so,fairlylikely Hodge and Barboza do make it.

It's not really an absolute... I'm just saying that I believe will happen. There isn't another logical option in my mind. I don't think 4 middle blockers will go, I don't think Sykora will get back to her 2010 form, and I don't think that K. Glass brings enough to the table to interest Hugh.

I mostly agree with you about Glass, but I wouldn't rule her out yet. Obviously she's nowhere near Logan and Jordan's level, but she seems like a good teammate and I like her attitude on the court. I think that gives her a bit of an edge over Barboza, who always seems very lazy on the court IMO. Neither of them will start, so I think it'll come down to who's better for team chemistry.

Lazy... you don't know much about Barboza then or the rest of the girls on the team. Lazy is not a word associated with or used in the gym.

Never heard Glass described in terms of hard working, not exactly her calling card.

Let's continue using first name initials when speaking of the Glass women....people might not realize the above comment is referring to Kim Glass rather than Alisha.

Right, which is another reason why Cynthia is a sure thing in my book. She's very close with her teammates and is one of the funniest people you'll ever meet (from what I've heard). I think that her connections with her teammates may be her biggest strength as a potential member of the 12-person team. Also, recall that Cynthia made the WC travel roster in November and Kim Glass was left in the States.

I hope she goes- only of the coaching staff thinks she can help them win a gold medal.

BTW here's a short clip of Barboza, Harmotto and their Italian team Liu Jo Modena going up against Torino Volley Club. Both players are looking good! Harmotto is fun to watch, she's dominant!

Thank you for the clip! I've been trying to find recent Harmotto footage. She has a classic Penn State '08 BOUNCE in there. I hope she decides to keep with the national team, she could be a force for years to come.

Both looked pretty good in set one. (I haven't watched the rest of the match)
