Not all about volleyball, but here goes -
Usain Bolt defend his 100m t & f gold. First 5 guys run under 9.9 seconds. Very fast. Misty & Kerri wearing long-sleeved shirts with only their maiden names printed on the back. Interesting. Table Tennis might be the fastest sport contested in the first week. Wow! The US needs more young players on their beach volleyball team. (With no beach in London, they are playing sand volleyball in the Olympics.) Michael Phelps, Ryan Lochte, & Missy Franklin are all top swimmers. Cheers! Kobe Bryant & his daugthers, LeBron James, & Kevin Durant were at the swimming venue the other night. Prince Harry, Prince William & Kate Middleton have been at several venues. Good show. I have not seen Casey Jennings in the crowd yet. Thank heaven.

China is the new super power in Olympics. They are putting money into coaching, plus carryover from Beijing 4 years ago. Will be interesting to see if the same at Rio, and will they make a bigger jpush in team sports.
Great Britain is having a marvelous Olympics. Hometown seems to work. Will Brazil ride a similar wave? Bet they do. So far the only doping scandal seems to be a USA judo guy eating a pot brownie. Really that clean or do we need blood tests? I suspect the latter.

Great Britain is having a marvelous Olympics. Hometown seems to work. I think the figure I saw was an average of 55% increase in medals (total) when you host and a larger percentage of gold and silver than your country normally gets.

Badminton scandal is very funny, watching both sides dilly-dally by serving into the net. And I can't believe China still won all 5 gold medals in badminton after disqualification.

Prince Harry, Prince William & Kate Middleton have been at several venues. Good show. I know some English people who put in for tickets and only got a couple of events. They were very hard to come by. William and Kate must have gotten very lucky in the ticket lottery. (Or maybe was it just the who-were-your-parents lottery?)
