Going to abstain myself as I haven't seen 2 minutes of the other bracket. But the matches are:
China v. Japan Russia v. Brazil
Italy v. Korea USA v. Dominican Republic
Will say Brazil v. Russia should be, what, excited? Fervored? And the China v. Japan rivalry must be reminiscent of Cuba/USA; not a lot of love lost between teams constantly playing for high stakes.

China V. Japan China and Japan met 5 times in previous Olympics and China won all of them 3-0, so I predict China will win but not sure if they can do it 3 sets.
Russia V. Brazil 3-0 or 3-1; Brazil is just to week on the outside, and their setters are inconsistent, and plus Russia still has the mental hold over them (2004, 2006, 2010)
Italy v. Korea 3-2 Italy is old and Korea is not one woman any more. I predict Italy will win but it's gonna be close.
USA v. DOM 3-0 USA is too strong for DOM

Can you explain which winners will meet? Will the winner of the USA/DOM match meet the winner of the Italy/Korea match?

Wow, huge win for Japan! The last time they made it to the semis in the Olympics was 84, wasn't it?
