Looks like Brazil was done but they came back to win the second set. Things are getting interesting now.

Brazil win 15-12 after being down halfway through the second set. Nice comeback.

Very impressive comeback.
Question. As I've not watched a ton of beach vb, I was wondering if Larissa has always been such a joy to play with? I know she is incredibly talented but I would think all her berating would be hard to take.

From what I read in the other posts of her games shes always been known to belittle her teammate.

Pardon my ignorance, but I thought the rule with setting over the net was that the player's shoulders must be square/facing the net in order to overhand-pass the ball over the net. Larissa backsetting the ball over the net (twice) didn't get called?

No side setting(like a setting dump indoors).

I knew about the setting rule of having to be squared, but what exactly is the rule with tipping? I always though there was no open hand tipping in Beach? I have seen a plethora of it every match this Olympics, or at least it looks like it. If anything, they are definitely "pushing" the ball over in a overhand motion. There are some I watched 4-5 times tivo rewinding that was easily a tip but the other team never complained about it so obviously I don't know the rule very well.

Larissa backsetting the ball over the net (twice) didn't get called? The ref was pretty forgiving on some of Larissa's sets. By the way, Larissa was on good behavior by her standards. You should see her when she really gets going. Her partner, the refs, nobody is safe.

I think the refs are notoriously lax on sets in beach in general. I can't think of a single game in London where one team didn't plead with the official to call a bad set on the other squad; I think I only saw one or two actually get called.
Side note: I hope Juliana is getting something more out of being Larissa's teammate than a bronze medal (like really mind-blowing sex, maybe), because I've never seen berating quite like that before. Even the dude with a bad attitude from Latvia just sulks out the anger.

Stiffened fingers poke or knuckle poke is the rule. I haven't seen anything that qualifies as indoor hand tips.
