Most Valuable Player: Jaqueline Carvalho (BRA) Kim Yeon-Koung (KOR) Best Scorer: Kim Yeon-Koung (KOR) Best Spiker: Destinee Hooker (USA) Best Blocker: Fabiana Claudino (BRA) Best Server: Sheilla Castro (BRA) Best Digger: Brenda Castillo (DOM) Best Setter: Yevgeniya Startseva (RUS) Best Receiver: Fe Garay (BRA) Best Libero: Brenda Castillo (DOM)
Well deserved recognition for Kim. As everyone had said, she carried the South Korean team.

Jaque definitely deserves the award for Most Valuable TV Close-Ups. Whether getting beat down (set 1) or giving a thrashing (sets 2-3-4), she's gorgeous!

Don't disagree with these picks, except Kim deserves best spiker, also. She was incredible. MVP and her team didn't medal. That says something. I told my family, "It would be easy to be the setter for Korea. No choices to be made."
I LOVE the little hobbit setter for Japan.
