does cal offer crissy the role in hopes of landing someone to stay long term and rebuild the program, or does crissy look for a more supportive school and start an amazing head coach career? it's hard that id like the best for both program and crissy, but that may not be the same thing. as they round the second half of conference, i wonder what conversations are being had.

Reviving this thread for all the Cal fans over on the USWNT thread.
Cal has added grad transfer DS Giana Bartolo, and signed freshmen RS/S Grace Agoli and MB Kate Mansfield for fall 2024. No news yet on the other OH commit Sofia Williams

You're more than welcome to create a Cal 2024 thread. I just recycle the same one though since there aren't many active Cal fans, esp with their decline since 2010, and even then this keeps falling off.
In other news, Cal just signed 6-3 senior OH transfer Cherlin Antonio from Syracuse. Seems like she can provide a lot of offense, hopefully she can also pass well enough for at least 3 rotations, if not all 6.
Going to be a lot of competition on the pins, hopefully someone steps up to complement 6-3 conference FOTY Maggie Li.
6-3 Sr Cherlin Antonio
6-0 Sr+ Sam Taumoepeau
6-1 Jr Peyton Dejardin
6-3 So Ashley Li (also played a bit at Opp in 2023)

Am I crazy to think this team should make the NCAA tournament? We return an awful lot of talent from a team that won 16 games last year...
Throw in 2 good transfers, a Gatorade state POY and things look good to me.

If anything, sans them actually finishing top 5 in the ACC, I think their tournament outlook depends almost exclusively on how well the collective Big 10 teams do in the non-conference. If they crush it and the conference ends up with 10+ at large bids, it’s going to squeeze alot of teams out of the tournament. |

TR Antonio looks to either be at OH or OPP. Maybe TR Bartalo as L. |

I've been so engaged with her interviews, posts, etc. She's EXTREMELY likable and motivating. Heck, she's firing this old person to want to put back on the knee pads!
