...it helps this year to be a Texas fan or an Oregon fan and submit your entry accordingly, but I'm sure it's still tough unless in the rest of the bracket you follow, say, Pablo accordingly... Pablo WAS an Oregon/Texas fan the first 4 rounds!  So a Texas fan following Pablo the first 4 rounds, then picked Texas/Oregon in the final, then Texas to win it all, would have a 51/63. That would have won this contest, and likely many bracket challenges out there.

That would have won this contest, and likely many bracket challenges out there. Exactly. Even just picking Texas to win it all and for the rest picking Pablo would've put you in the tie-breaker. That's only 2 changes from Pablo! Of course, it's not obvious which ones to depart from Pablo. I only made 3 departures from Pablo and wound up behind Pablo (I went exactly the opposite way with Texas! taking a chance on their getting bounced earlier, in part because of their relatively harder path compared to USC but I was also guilty of ignoring the homecourt advantage they had, which made their odds of advancing to the USC match not too much worse than USC's)
