CONGRATULATIONS to all you Volleyball Fans who participated in this year's T.V.P. (Top Volleyball Prognosticator) Contest.

It was a pretty close contest, as you can see. There was a "dead-even" TIE...between mvbdad & vbcrusin (me). ;D

Since there was a tie...I will award mvbdad a special Californian/Hawaiian shirt. Congrats mvbdad. You'll receive it on Saturday.

There were many high percentage posters on fewer matches chosen, so I tried to be fair about the cut off level. I feel that ONLY those who predicted in at least 80% (83 matches) of the matches would be eligible to win the contest.

Even though mvbdad and vbcrusin posted the most wins, vballdoll had a higher percentage with (.772). She will therefore receive one of vbcrusin's shirts as well. CONGRATS, vballdoll. You'll also get your shirt on Saturday too when I see you. ;D

Since we have a NEW Tournament starting...everyone will be on equal footing from the start. Good Luck. The winner gets another one of my favorite shirts.

There was 1 error with Beachy...Beachy had 70 out of 91 matches for a .769 rating... only .003 behind vballdoll.

Way to go Beachy. Just think...you probably would have won the contest IF you voted against your team once in a while.

I wonder if I would have done well if I predicted the whole season and knew about this site from the beginning of the season. Oh well...Looks like I will find out next season. Do you do this also for the women's D1 and if so which league? I can tell you about the WAC... the Wahine will dominate that as usual. hehe As much as I would like to cheer for the Tigers in the Big West, I don't think they have enough talent yet. Sure, they have Jenn Joines, but a 2nd team All-American is not enough to carry the team unless we have major impact freshmen this coming year. Looks like I will have to do find out at our matches later on.

Next year, I'll start the T.V.P. right from the beginning of the season...look for it then. Women's volleyball? I've seen several matches, but I think I'll stay on the men's side...I know many players and coaches through the years. Until then, ENJOY this tournament contest and final 4. It's going to be a CLOSE dogfight with many surprises.

Sorry about the misspelling of your posted name. 57 out of 79 matches (.722) pretty impressive. I hope you'll post your tournament picks and join us from the begginning in next season's contests...you sound like a worthy opponent. I look forward to your competition.

The women's season pick the winners contest is done by forum favorite, Rich Kern on his web site. Weekly winners this year won a Volleyhut.com t-shirt and gift certificate (I'm actually wearing one of my t-shirts now!) Rich selects a group of about 20 or so matches per week and has a sign up, etc. on his website-www.richkern.com.

Congrats vbcrusin and mvbdad!! You guys are both great prognosticators. Thanks for the honorary mention win. I will wear my Californian/Hawaiian shirt with pride, knowing it came from a legend amongst the top prognosticators in this great sport. Since I started watching volleyball I have usually left figuring out stats, seedings, predictions, etc to the “experts” but I have really enjoyed forcing myself to critically examine all of the teams and to become personally invested in matches other than Pepperdine’s.

And CONGRATULATIONS to all of the prognosticators. This contest has been a lot of fun and everyone did a really great job.
