Who will win this match? The odds are against IPFW...here are some interesting facts.
The last time IPFW defeated the Buckeyes was in 1999 when Jeff Ptak was a freshman. It was the first home match that Ptak ever played in. Since than, Ohio State has won the last 10 competitions.
Other messages say that IPFW can't win on the road, well what happened at Loyola? ;D
Ohio State's best player is coming back from an injury...will he be 100%? He wasn't last weekend when the Buckeyes lost to Ball State in 3 quick games.
But hey, one thing that is great about this sport and most sports is......Anything can happen on any given nite!!

I think the odds are in IPFW's favor ... it's about time they won! IPFW beat OS for the MIVA championship in April 1999. (not your fault, I know that IPFW's website has the same information on it) So ... picky, picky, we've beaten them twice in the last five years. I say we are due for a win and if the boys can keep their heads in the game, I think we can do it. We'll see! ;D

I think IPFW is peaking at the right time. They did prove that they can beat big teams like Loyola and Ball State. It is a matter of rhytm for IPFW to beat OSU in just 3 games. I think Serdar Sikca will prove that he is a better player than Andy Cole, who got the MIVA FOY Award. If Ptak comes out strong and passes well there shouldn't be any problem. I think Lewis-IPFW matchup will be an interesting one in the semi's since Lewis destroyed IPFW 3 weeks ago where Coach Arnie Ball took the entire line-up out of the court after the second game. But what are the odds of ANY team from MIVA to beat Hawaii or Pepperdine

I was talking to a v-ball friend (who's a BS fan) at the IPFW/BS game two weeks ago and he said, "I just don't want Lewis to be first team from the MIVA to win a National Championship!" I told him that I didn't think that would be a problem, given the strenght of Pepperdine and Hawaii. With that being said, stranger things have happened!
