George Mason beat Springfield easily tonight 3-0 in an EIVA quarterfinal match. Mason was too big & too strong for the well-coached Springfield squad. Springfield may also have been suffering from 'bus lag' after a tough 8 hour drive to Virginia earlier today.
Mason was led by seniors James Claney & Art Kulans. Junior Brad Kniewel, maybe the best libero not many people have seen, also had a strong match. The Patriots now move on to the EIVA semis next Thursday at Penn State.

The Mason libero is from Warren's club team. I watched him two years in club and saw him last year at PSU. I thought he was their weak point.
He certainly is no Ricky Matei
