34-32, 22-30, 30-25, 30-24
At the begining it looked like Northridge was going to take it. They got up 28-24 in the first and smoked the Cougars in the second game. BYU's block seemed to be a nonfactor until late in the third game. Michale Burk had a good hitting night. Mayol and Alleman stepped it up down the stretch as well. Paal came up with some great defensive plays.
Tramblie was fired up most of the night. He was getting ridden by the crowd but it didn't get to him. Nargi got some yells and proceeded to turn to the crowd and say that BYU was nothing but a bunch of foreigners. Though I guess it is better to have a bunch of Brazillians than some 2nd rate San Diego players, and a setter whose greatest achievement was playing up as a DS on a Balboa Bay team that won JOs.
In any occurrence I think next week will decide wo gets the at-large bid. Though it kills me inside i have to say Hawaii in 5.
