Thanks to all the prognosticators this year. It made it more fun to track all the games. Big thanks to vbcrusin for running the show and coming through with rules and everything. (Although, the original first prize was a date with Beachy, now all you can win is a used Aloha shirt, big come down! )I followed this board during the men's season last year and it got rather hateful at times. Either we have all grown up or the betting is making us look at all players on all teams. What a great thing for this sport. Good luck to all the teams in the final four, I have tickets and will watch in person....go Beach!

I wish our team would have at least made it back to the Pyramid this year, but I guess we were just too young... Look out next year though... Good luck to all the rest of the teams... Since we're out, i'm rooting for Pepperdine... GO BEACH!!!

Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Beachy, I thought a date with Beachy would have been a BIG Prize, BUT you wouldn't go for it. As far as a used Hawaiian shirt...EXCUSE ME, but these are VETERAN Californian/Hawaiian shirts worn by the best. mvbdad and vballdoll are pleased with their prizes. It seemed that everyone enjoyed the T.V.P. Contest (and still are), since it challenges fan knowledge of the various teams. There are some GREAT COMPETITIVE FANS out there who appreciate these fantastic athletes as much as I do. Since we started these prediction contests, the posts are centered around " an analysis of the various team match ups..." instead of some of those obnoxious, immature posts, which have no conversational value whatsoever. Question for you, Beachy...how come you didn't particpate in the National T.V.P. contest? No worries...we'll start the weekly contests right from the beginning of next season. Stay tuned.

Surfin'
I was really impressed with your team in their last game against Pepperdine. I thought they would fold after losing the first game - particularly with Pepp's terrific come-from-behind win - but they hung tough. Many of us came away saying 'Wait til next year, the Beach will be a contender.'

You're definitely correct on your assessment of Long Beach's chances next year, vbmom...In fact, I predict that they will be in the #1 & # 2 spots next season. They were tough this year, but with the rally scoring format, many times they dropped a few crucial points to lose many of their close matches (which were many close matches). Watch out for the 49ers next year, Volleyball Fans.

Sorry I didn't participate in the National contest, vbcruz, but I had too many real life issues come up that prevented me from focusing my entire brain power on it.
However, I am voting with SDB, since Pepp beat us three times this year, I will root for the Waves to take it all.
I forgot to mention that if it wasn't for Spike, I wouldn't have had very many scores to follow up on. Thanks, Spike for those posts also.
Since vbdoll and mvbdad won this year, maybe they should offer next year's prizes.....or pass along the infamous used, oops, I mean veteran, aloha shirts. ;D Go Beach, I am ready for next year!

I collect Californian/Hawaiian shirts, so I buy them on a weekly basis. I'm ready for next year. ;D
