So this is the best guess of the scholarship situation: 2015: 6 available; 4 commitments (Chapman, Graff, Mikaelsen, Morales, Thomas, Thompson) 2016: 1 available (Morey) 2017: 3 available (Blake, Carlini, Nelson) 2018: 2 available (Bates, Fricano) Correct. If Graff chooses to seek and receives a medical hardship for this year, then it moves her schollie down to 2016. Sheff has talked about trying to get a transfer or move some scholarships around to make things a little more even.

Penn State lost in 97 and 98 then won in 99, Nebraska lost in 05 and won in 06. Stanford lost 3 consecutive years (06-08). And most recently: Cal loses in 2010 then lost in 1st round 2011 Illinois loses in 2011 then don't make 2012 tournament Oregon loses in 2012 then lost in 2nd round 2013 Cal lost their very experienced setter in Carli Lloyd which makes a difference and Oregon lost the NATIONAL PLAYER OF THE YEAR in Bergsma, their starting libero Haley Jacob as well and did not have a 100% Plum this season as Wisconsin will only be getting healthier as they return 6 of 7 starters and 2 former starters who will only make the team deeper. And Oregon lost bad last year but Wisconsin proved they deserved to be there. I never said there weren't other factors involved but just giving the stats that were asked about. Michigan was in the Final Four last year, almost the NC match, but then lost in the 1st round this year after returning most of their team. Basically, it is hard to get to the Final Four in any year so to be able to do it multiple years in a row is very impressive.

Hold on everyone. Wisconsin finished 5th in the big10. And, they had no pressure or expectations. If they finish top 3 in their conference that will be a huge step, but for them to be a favorite nationally next year is taking a large leap. They still have a 5'7 oh who will always be a liability blocking. They lose their libero who was fantastic in (at least) their ncaa run. Plus the Sheffield honeymoon phase is over...let's see how it plays out, I'll pick them 5th again and maybe - a sweet sixteen

Two senior starting outsides were injured this year so she might just be playing backrow. They will be 3rd or 2nd in the B1G. I see Nebraska losing a lot of close matches next year, too inexperienced and unless the twins want to be huge leaders no national championship contender.

Wisconsin was good but overlooked this year as underdog. They won't be next year. A lot harder to win with target on back. We will see how they respond to pressure next year there was none this year

Its a lot easier to win when everyone's not throwing best. That's what makes multiple champions in any sport impressive. Every team is gonna throw everything they have at u. Let's see how they respond next year

Psu gonna have bullseye on back like that do every year but so is Wisconsin next year. Let's see how they respond to getting every teams best every game Stanford and psu always gets everyone's best lets see if Wisconsin is able to handle preesure. It's completely different when your not sneaking up on people

As much as I'd like to see psu win it again next year, too many freshman. I'm giving them two year reprieve. If they win it great. Not expecting it though. Stanford and Wisconsin both gonna have targets. My money's on Stanford though think they handle it better next year is year to show badgers are for real. Its easy to sneak up one year but if your in finals no sneaking up next year. Your gonna get every teams best. As much as I want psu every year, my money on Stanford and usc next year

Of course I voted for volleyball, but the only other one I would have voted for would have been for Matt Kenseth, he switches teams and cars and wins 7 races this past year and finishes 2nd.

Does this forum have a cliche drinking game?
Some good stuff: "It's a lot harder to win with a bulls-eye on the back" and "let's see how they respond to getting every team's best game" and "they were overlooked as underdog".
I'm hammered after just reading those three all-timers.

It's completely different when your not sneaking up on people Never agreed with the elite teams getting the best shot from all opponents. Often opponents lay an egg against the league favorite(s). Some times they just shake in such environment. In B1G play, some teams will put most of their focus on their "other" opponent for that weekend. I don't think Penn State is consistently getting everybody's "best shot".
