Let the prediction begin.
OH1: passi or taylor (but taylor is better on the right) OH2: taylor OPP: long (if she puts in work in the gym) MB1: Vorster MB2: a transfer? S: Higgins (but I'm hoping goodman can pass her cuz she's tall. She's an underdog L: mendoza
there is possibly a transfer or two coming in cuz next year won't be that great.

Long needs to make gigantic strides to be in the picture at any position. One year of resdshirting and two years of playing time, being given the opportunity to play front and back, she still couldn't cut it even as a DS.

She is d1 ready, she's just not top program d1 ready. Neither is tai. I really hope Dave can get over her. She's simply not ready. Her passing is weak and he numbers only hurt the team

Shut your rotten ‘okole.
I can remember when Volleyball Monthly intended to name Ginger Long one of its 2010, GVB, Fab-50 HS Sr’s and NOT Kamehameha’s Taylor Akana (a year older, being a 2009 graduate instead).
Doodoos,
Long went on to play USA High Performance ball with the U.S. Continental Team outta the Midwest, America, the summer before enrolling in Manoa. She had already been named an AVCA HS All-American and when it came down to it, the WNT Asst. Coach *P.W.* came up short securing her talent in the recruitment battle(s). Long who has a 30+ inch vert. was easily the 2x Maui Interscholastic League’s MVP/2x HI State 1st Team All-star (rating over Adolpho and ALL the girls from Lanai and Koho’olawe to boot). She was more heavily recruited than some would care to admit, and speaking of all this recruiting..
Long has a somewhat impressive 2013 record on the sand. Along with beating UCLA's 6.0 Becca Strehlow (Prepvolleyball.com’s #8) & 6.2 Zoe Nightingale (Prepvolleyball.com’s #19), who made Nationals on the beach, Ginger tallied a 12-11 overall record in preNCAA WSVB, 7-7 mark in dual matches..going a team-best 6-3 in tournament play. --- I wish that you’d just concentrate on Rio and dig/pass like even YOU (and your krack-ah) know you can. 99

I'd put her at MB1. Don't think tai is top-10 material. She'd probably excel in D2 tho. Any idea on transfers? Either in or out?

OH 1. Nikki Taylor OH 2. Kalei Greeley OPP. Keani passi MB. Jade vorster MB. Kalei Adolpho (poor leahey, two adolphos on the field will screw him up Setter. Tayler higgins Libero. Savannah kahakai At this point, I think this is the line-up we'll have. All three OH's should be passer's. Greeley looked to be a 6-rotation player in high-school, Taylor was a 6-rotation player towards the ending of the season. With no dominant OH, Hawaii will definitely need a strong middle attack and that starts with the passing.

I wish Shoji would get an athletic recruit (fast, high jump, etc.) because he can turn them into great volleyball players.

Savannah kahakai I know you meant two Kalei's on the court, but the talk goes that Jim Leahey was intending to retire from calling the Na Wahine matches last season and his son Kanoa was to take his spot. However being busy with his up coming wedding he had to pass. So expect to see Kanoa calling the shots starting this indoor season unless OC16 offers the position to Dash or someone else. Granted this is just talk from people close to the UH media. As far as the two Kalei's, Adolpho's birth first name is Abigail, Kalei being short for a longer Hawaiian name ending in kalei, where as Greeley's birth first name is Kalei.

Lets not hype some players and throw others under the bus. Passi is all hype, she has yet to step out onto the floor, junior college is very different from Division I. Looking at the incoming class, Kalei Greeley is a legit starter. Nikki Taylor will be Hawaii's top offensive weapon. I would put Mendoza ahead of Kahakai, Bright spots is at setter (Tayler Higgins).

I have to say that these potential lineups don't look very intimidating. Taylor is a good player but will have a lot more put on her in terms of carrying the load offensively. I think they could get more offense from the middles if things went right, but that is a big question mark given that they will have a new setter and have to replace a lot of their passing. They do, however, have their most important person back, so you can never count them out. Shoji has found ways to win for a very long time, so he could end up having another team that ends up being a lot better than it initially appeared.

I agree that they don't look very intimidating and shoji and staff have a lot of work to do. The middles have a lot of work to do before they can be dominant and carry an offensive load. But I'm not to worried. They have a so so pre conference schedule that shouldn't give them too much challenges. Oregon, Pepperdine, Arizona state will be tough, but I think if the incoming freshman are as good as I think they are, they should be fine.
