the latter part of the definition, in theory, could apply too. but this is sufficiently vague that i would have no problem calling a bouncing a net creating an advantage. it's a distraction, for starters.

I like Kevin Barnett's approach. "The game has enough stoppages as it is. Unless it's a blatant violation, let them play."
I'd add that if it impacts player safety, it needs to be called.

the purusit rule is a godo addition to the game, but not necessarily fair b/c not all faciltiies allow you to play with it
