Not a fan of Sheldon but it's hard to argue his take on last years team and his thoughts on the upcoming season. Big question mark regarding how they're going to make up for the loss of Robo's production. Kadie is a stud but they'll need to be more balanced to get the most out of her skills IMO.

Robo had an amazing season for her first and unfortunately only season with Nebraska. In addition to her production, her LEADERSHIP will also be rather large shoes to fill. Last season exceeded pretty much everyone's (outside of the locker room) expectations. I'll be most curious to see how well this Asian trip has galvanized the togetherness/chemistry for this years team and how they play without Robo this season. At least this season PSU & Nebraska play a home & home. It would be intense if Nebraska's final B1G conference match @ PSU on Nov 29 was to decide the conference crown. However, there are a few other B1G teams who will have something to say about that.

I think Mary will provide solid leadership for the team. She demonstrated that potential in many ways last season.

Getting PSU and Nebraska both only once and both in Wisconsin.

Regarding Hunter, it wouldn't surprise me if she redshirts this year.

The NCAA isn't going to grant her a special exemption waiver just because Pollmiller is a senior.

She played off and on throughout the 1st half of the season - appeared in 32 sets and 16 matches. She had an injury near the end of the season that prevented her from playing in the NCAA tournament matches and then had surgery in the offseason. She is listed as a sophomore on the roster at huskers.com. Everything I'm seeing indicates that she was not eligible for a medical redshirt and did not receive one.

I thought she redshirted after her foot injury.

When it comes to specifics of the Husker volleyball program, I have a pretty good idea what's going on. But thanks for playing. You'll have a lovely parting gift at the door on your way out.
