Btw according to my friend in Germany Carey's team loses 3-1 to DSC (25-11 24-26 25-16 25-16). I have been told that their winning that one set is a success for them. Another btw ;D She played opp not setter.

I'm getting to the point where I'm almost the same height standing up or lying down. Haha ... at what great age do we all get to look forward to that neat little carnival trick? ;D

One of my classmates from California tried to talk pidgin' the other day, just tried to drop it in casually in the middle of a conversation. But of course we all stopped dead in our tracks ... and got a great laugh out of it. ;D ;D Aah, it was great ...

I grimace whenever I hear pidgin. It's just not pretty. Eh brah, whachoo lookin at? in a casual setting, who cares... talk the way you want. but when it's used in a classroom, especially in a college and beyond, you're right, it really isn't pretty nor professional...

Another btw ;D She played opp not setter. Was she signed to play opposite? Or did they figure she can play opposite while also backing up the setter spot? (Sorry, I realize you may not know the answers to all these questions, but us fans just are glad to know anything at all...)

Yeah, that is interesting. In interviews Carey said she prefers to play setter but she was usefull as a blocker and I guess decent hitter on opposite. Her takeoff is a little awkward looking but she is surprising quick for her size.

This player recently quit for no reason. Simply abandoned her team in the middle of the league because she was homesick or not happy with a new style of play. I don't understand why these teams hire Americans when most of them just quit when their vacation period is over...
