We've posted the second part of a four-part Season Preview of the 2014 Penn State Women’s Volleyball team. • Part 1 focused on the Setter and Outside Hitter positions. •Part 2 covers the Opposite/Right Side and Middle Blocker positions. •Part 3 will look at the Libero and Defensive Specialist candidates. •Finally, Part 4 will focus on Head Coach Russ Rose, and his new staff members — Associate Head Coach Salima Rockwell, Assistant Coach Stevie Mussie, Director of Operations Kevin Burch, and Volunteer Assistant Coach Jay Goddu. For those who are interested, here's a link: www.dignittanyvolleyball.com/penn-state-2014-season-preview-part-2-oppositeright-sides-and-middle-blockers/ Also, given our notoriously lazy slacker staff of researchers and statisticians, there may well be errors (or even wrong-headed statements). We welcome having those pointed out -- they are never intended to diminish anyone. Love, peace and volleyball. Nyline www.dignittanyvolleyball.com

Another great read about the Lions which is interesting because of the ability of the players to fill multiple positions. It makes you wonder who the team leaders on the court will be.

This is where I think Courtney will be at also, which gives me major "Déjà"-Vu of 2010:
Veteran Opposite, Middle, and Libero with a highly touted freshman class and the chance for 2 freshman to start on the outside and 1 in the middle.
Now I dont think Courtney will be as terminating as Brown or Grant as good as Wilson, but PSU also has a 2 time First Team AA at setter which is more than they had there in 2010.
