Nebraska still needs a way to get kills out of the middle, which could be a challenge in the next couple years. You have to hope a change at setter does some good and that Keil and Larson develop some more. Cici Hall is a great athlete but somewhat of an awkward attacker. Haggerty knows how to play volleyball, but is athletically limited.

I've been wondering about Maddie and Olivia; do you suppose that they will wind up red-shirting this season? Both have been held out because of injuries! Seems a little late to start playing at this point in the season! It could also be that they could make a late impact though! GO HUSKERS

Reshirting someone means you are prepared to use a scholarship for that player as a 5th year instead of using it on an incoming freshman.

Is this the worst 1/2 season in Nebraska volleyball? Losses to Illinois, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Michigan and Texas. Yikes.

There was a discussion in the Minnesota VS. Nebraska thread about their passing so I wanted to reopen this thread. It seems everyone's all doom and gloom about Nebraska this year but you can't help but be excited about the future for this team. With the addition of Foecke to the front row and Kenzie Maloney in the back court, Nebraska will be awfully tough. The only real change will be Hunter at setter, and from the sounds of it that should be an upgrade as well. Have faith Huskers, greener pastures are ahead! Hopefully Foecke doesn't read this board.

Cook keeps talking about how well Boender plays in practice and that he's going to try and get her in. I just don't see it. As I've stated previously on other NE threads, I'll be shocked if Boender doesn't transfer prior to finishing up at NE.

I wish Meghan Haggerty was a Badger. With Carlini setting her, she would be unstoppable! It sounds like she mighrt not even be a starter for the Huskers. Also would love to see Larson this season, she could be a real stud. I actually disagree. I am not sure Haggerty would be better than Thompson. Carlini thrives on speed and Thompson is much faster than Haggerty. I think Thompson's speed gives the Badgers more options. Not to mention, she is great at closing the block.

Maddie Haggerty is almost certainly redshirting. She's been held out of practice lately. Don't think her shoulder is quite right yet. Boender could use an offseason conditioning program to get in great shape.

The only thing that isn't public knowledge is what I offered as an opinion about Boender transferring. Cook has stated that Maddie is redshirting.
