There is a lot to be said for collegiate playing experience. Mary is a proven winner. She is a tremendous recruiter and trainer. She treats her athletes with a ton of respect. I have not met anyone who has regretted playing in her program. I haven't met anyone that regrets playing for Mary either!! Oh, wait, I haven't met any Gator players. I have met players from other BIG schools that regretted going there though...

What exactly does that mean? Don't worry, I think he was making fun of USC that time.

Don't worry, I think he was making fun of USC that time. Yep. USC was the target. I have banned myself from making fun of Florida. Not even meant to be a backhanded insult or anything, sorry if you saw it that way. I was just emphasizing the BIG so that people didn't think it was a small school, like Idaho or Eastern Washington or Montana or Hawaii.

Get over it IB. Florida was the better team, by a wide margin.

Get over it IB. Florida was the better team, by a wide margin. No. UH actually DID outscore Florida for the match, how do you call that wide? I still don't hate Florida... it is USC that I aim for, still.

The point of vball is to win 3 games to win the match, doesn't matter if you get outscored in the match, as long as you win 3 games, that's what matters.
As for "I have met players from other BIG schools that regretted going there though... ", I still have no idea what that means. What players from other BIG schools regretted going there?

I too thought Florida was way better than Hawaii going into the match. They simply had a stronger overall attack whereas Hawaii is simply high outside, high outside, high outside, high outside, oh and high outside.

My take is that mary will find a way to make up for the loss of Aury defensively and if Williams, Collymore and Moscovic improve this year as much as they did last year and just 1 freshman (marci or a middle) steps up to the next level(which IS a real step no matter how good they were in High School) then Florida will contend again in 2004. Then USC, Florida, UCLA, and Nebraska, will meet in the final four.

IB is still living in a state of delusion and denial. Pity him, pity!

And I will repeat my unpopular theory that I thought UH was a better team, but they were outcoached. In every game they were ahead, but Florida adjusted faster than Hawaii could. Moot, but I still say I am right.

Passing may be a bit of a question mark since Mendes and Cruz were Florida's best passers. Gatorvball, who will be the new libero?

would rachel engle become the libero if mcginnis tears it up and sends moscovic to the bench?
