I'm just happy to see that Cal is playing better. Right now they're playing better than I've seen them all season. Probably not enough to beat Stanford, but they should be playing better.
I wonder what Neumayr could have done for this team.

I wonder what Neumayr could have done for this team. I share this sentiment as well. Let's see if this can last into the 3rd set and even into conference play. Neumayr would've alleviated some of the passing pain for sure.

Stanford got Inky onto the front row and just rode her.

So can we start talking about how amazing Ajanaku is?

Stanford wins set 2 26-24, but Cal had set point. Inky got back in the match. Higgins has 10 kills in two sets, so the connection with Jensen improving.; Good news for Cal.

Just listening at work, by the way, so nothing of substance to add. Jordan is having another good match after shining v.. St. Mary's. The slides to Schoenweis failed at the end of Set 2; I still wish Cal could get a backrow threat or go to a 6-2 to firm up the block and always have three hitters.

There are many 4-year colleges in the Bay Area other than Cal and Stanford. A real battle of the Bay would involve all teams in the area: Santa Clara, San Jose State, St. Mary's, U of San Francisco, San Francisco State, Cal State Hayward, Mills College, Menlo College, and, of course, UC Berkeley and Stanford. (I probably missed some.)

Why is there two threads on the same subject?
